Delonghi Gran Dama repair at Bammel TV Tech Services

Customer’s  Delonghi Gran Dama deluxe espresso machine  was brought to us for service on January 21st, 2016, with a complaint as follows:

“I get a message, it says ‘add beans,’ I add beans and start grinding. then it stops and says, ‘add beans’ again.”

Our master techs and support staff were on the case by January 21st; we determined that the grinder had gone faulty and would have to be replaced.

Upon completing the parts research and vendor sourcing phase, and obtaining manufacturer’s part # for the grinder, we found that one of our reliable parts vendors,  Encompass Parts , had the item in stock.

We obtained approval from the customer to proceed with the purchase order and repair on February 9th; part was in on 2/17, and the grinder installation and quality control testing completed by 2/19.

As these units go for ~$2000 used on eBay, and we fixed it for $385,  you might say we saved the customer $1600.
